Remember when you dreaded receiving one of those lean, lightweight envelopes from your chosen college? You knew that it meant that you hadn’t been accepted.
At my advanced age, I just experienced this again last night. But the good news was that the envelope I received was FAT!
This collage–“Sunset, After the Quake”—along with “Panamint Mountains” has been accepted into the Decatur Fine Arts Exhibition coming up from 5/22-6/2! This is a huge step up for me, for the Decatur Arts Festival, which falls over Memorial Day weekend each year, is a big deal in the Southeast.
Unfortunately, this overlaps slightly with my solo exhibition at the ART Station that begins on 6/1/13, but as Jon Goldstein, gallery manager at ART Station, says, “What a good problem to have!” Those of you who are planning to come to the opening on 6/1 will also have to make a detour to see my other works at the Decatur Fine Arts Exhibition at the Dalton Gallery on the campus of Agnes Scott College.
